Strawberry sauce: (optional)
1 pound bag (454 grams) frozen unsweetened strawberries
1/3 cup plus 2 tablespoons (90 grams) granulated white sugar
For the sauce:
Thaw the strawberries (this will take a few hours). place the strawberries in a food processor, fitted with a steel blade, and process until the berries are puréed. transfer to a bowl and stir in the sugar. taste and add more sugar if necessary.
